March 2013 {7 Months}

Month 7 has definitely been a month of fun with a splash of exciting news. Chris got a promotion at work. He has worked so hard and is so dedicated to his work. He truly deserves it. Good job babe! My hubby works for Silver Eagle Distributors and they distribute a lot of different beers. Budweiser/Bud Light is a top one for those who don't know. We are so proud of him!

Maci Maureen {Month 7}

This month Maci's personality has definitely come alive. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to let you know! Seriously, when she gets angry or needs your attention she yells out a big scream. She gets real red for a split second too. She is such a girl...I love it but I honestly don't know if I could have another girl when the time comes. One is enough lol Chris seems to think when we have #2 and #3 they will both be girls...oyyyy! God help me hah. Maci has also found a new love for yogurt melts. Preferably the peach ones! I tried them too and I must say they aren't that bad. She also loves avocados. She started holding her own bottle to feed herself and she can last the whole feeding doing it by herself. Although, some days she is just lazy and wants me to do it but I'm okay with that.
This month she has also learned how to clap, typically when mommy does it and says "Yayyy" and she can wave hi.
 Every morning when she wakes up she is laying there full of smiles, kicking like crazy and she waves hi to me or Chris. It's pretty awesome.When we went to the doctors this month because of her allergies to the nasty pollenwe have here in Texas (Yuck) her pediatrician was saying how developed and vocal she is (like a 9 month old.) She weighs a whopping 20 lbs and I love every bit of her squishy, chubby self. I mean how could you not love this little one who has cheeks for weeks! She loves playing with kids. Anywhere we go she is always trying to be involved when she sees little ones.

 This week end is packed with lots of fun. We have baby Emerson's 1 st birthday party tomorrow and Easter Sunday with our families. Maci is ready for the Easter bunny!

Next week is her BFF Ally's 1st birthday party! All these babies turning ONE! Pretty soon my little one will be up there...I have been guilty of already planning on how I want to do her party. Jadie, if you are reading this...I so want you to help me...and maybe take pictures hehe ;)
I should probably hit the sack since Maci is already down for the night and when I mean night I mean then whole night...well the past 4 night with the exception of last night she sleep the WHOLE night. 10pm to 8am. I don't know how she started doing this but I'm really liking it. Keep it up girl. We are both able to thrive the whole day (because you also take a one 2 hour nap in the afternoon) but hey mommy and daddy like your style.
Today, we had a fun and busy day/night so I'm sure she's pooped!
Nighty night loves.
 Happy Good Friday :)

Pittsburgh 2013

Earlier this month we went to Pittsburgh to visit both Chris & my family. When I first met Chris we both discovered that our families were from Pittsburgh, PA. My dad is from there and so is Chris's dad and mom. When our parents were little they lived 15 minutes away from each other and didn't know it. Talk about a small world! Till this day our grandmothers still live the same 15 minutes away from each other. My aunt and his aunt actually have worked at the University of Pittsburgh for a long time and knew of each other with out knowing we were dating each other...how funny. Anyways, every year we make a trip up their to see ALL of our family and with Maci becoming apart of our family it was a must to bring her up there. I mean how awesome is that..we kill two birds with one stone right. Go to one places to see a good chunk of our families who live so close to each other! My dad comes from a very big family and not everyone can make it down before Maci's first year. We spent a week there and split the time with our families. It was pretty darn cold up there...sort of missed the Texas weather! We had such a fun time.
The first part of the trip after we got delayed in Chicago for 6 hours (but Maci was seriously so Awesome.. was spent with Chris' side (His mom's side)

We had a great time with his grandma (Maci's Great Grandma) and his Aunts, & Uncles, & Cousins. We saw snow,took lots of pics went shopping, enjoyed time with family and good home cooked meals :)

The second part was spent with my side(dad's side) The first night we layed low and Maci enjoyed playing with her little cousin Matthew. I swear these two are the cutest together. Matthew loved Maci and Maci clearly loved Matthew. The next day we went to the Strip district in downtown which I am very familiar with. I wanted to get some Pittsburgh gear for us and St. Patty's day stuff as well. we bundled miss Maci up and headed out with my Cousins. We shopped and ate lunch down there at Primanti Bros. which is a Pittsburgh Favorite! Later that evening Chris and I went out with one of my cousins for some fun ...baby free! My sweet Aunt, Uncle, & Matthew watched Maci and she did great with them. The next day we headed to church and we had all of my Aunt, Uncles, Grandma, & cousins over for a family hang out. Everyone got to meet M and we had such fun hanging out. I love big families and its so fun to be everyone. I enjoy the loud & running around fun that comes with big families. The next day we spent time with grandma (Maci's GG) and then we headed to my other Aunt's house to spend time with them before we headed home the next day. Here are pictures with the Morrin side :)

All in all, we had a great time. Maci got her first snow, we got to spend time with family, & everyone got to meet our girl. Successful trip I must say.
Till next time Pittsburgh :)
Go Steelers!
