The Stulaks are back!

I can not believe it has been a little over a year since I last blogged! Some much has changed since last September. Sine then, we have added to our crew. Brady Christopher Stulak came into this world December 29th, 2013. He decided to come two weeks early on his own. Honestly, I was in excruciating pain on Christmas day to the point where I couldn't stand up and had horrible back labor. I ending up holding out and 4 days later my water broke! He was the perfect gift to our family. We were able to start the new year with our new addition. I can't believe he will be one in just a couple of months! Time flies when your having fun...oh yeah and real busy. Having two kids under two for 6 months and now having then BOTH mobile can make your day seem long and tiring. It is also the best feeling and I wouldn't trade it. I love being a mom. I truly feel it's what I was meant to be. The kids are taking their nap so I feel like I could make the time and keep my promise to at least blog once a week. I love looking back on our memories. I did this with Maci and her first year and I am so glad I did. I have gone back on plenty of occasions to reminisce about our life with our little lady.

Now Maci is 2 going on 12! Having a daughter is something I always dreamed of and she is definitely her mother's daughter. When my parents see the faces and the way Maci acts it literally takes them back to me as a child. She loves to entertain and anytime she hears a song that she like she grabs the nearest object and uses it as a microphone. My little diva can always make someone have a good laugh. Just the other day we were in  Baby Gap and as were leaving she somehow got a hold of my receipt. I looked down in the stroller and she was using the receipt as cellphone up to her ear talking to one of my friends, Jamie. <<who was clearly not with us...she was at work lol. Maci has a mind of her own and it doesn't  seem to disappoint anyone. Love her so!

She also has a strong love for her bitty brother. Although it might not look like it when she tries to sit on top of him or think he is a horse and she can ride him. She really does love him. Every morning she calls for him since she wakes up a little before him. It's so cute to see the bond they share. I hope they never lose that.

I always pictured myself having nothing but daughters but I am totally a fan of boys. I love my girly girl more than words can say. There will always be a special bond a mother has with her son. Just like I know there is special bond with a father and his daughter. I never had Maci attached to me like the way Brady is. He likes to be able to see me from wherever he is at. It use to make things such a challenge but when he started to crawl around 7 months it made things so much easier.
Brady's personality since the day he was born has been much more on the chill side. He reminds me so much of his father. If you know my husband you know that he is a very relaxed, go with the flow kind of guy. Brady is just the same.

He is very clingy to me but I know it is just a stage thing that some babies go through. One day they wont want us as much so I treasure those moments!
Brady is 10.5 months old now and has 8 teeth. Weighing in at 20 lbs and 29 inches give or take. He is the 50th percentile for weight and height. Still rocking the no hair in the front, party in the back look and has some big blue eyes that make me melt.

He loves to feed himself anything that we pretty much eat but still get the occasional baby food to make sure he is getting the right about of nutrients. He can walk around the house with him push walker and walks along furniture. He can wave hi/bye and give kisses on command. Just the other day he learn to grab his toy phone and when we say hello he puts it up to his ear. He is into EVERYTHING and will try to get to anything even if it results in a little battle wound. He has so much energy and isn't afraid to lay in the dirt or even eat grass. Yup, those two have already happened! I love that he is already living up the the "all boy thing."Gahhhh, I swear I gave birth to him yesterday now I am starting to plan his 1st birthday!! I thank God everyday for our two healthy babies and love how they fit perfectly in to our crazy beautiful life.
The holidays are coming up and I can't wait to enjoy it as a family of four. Bring on the cold weather, hot chocolate, cozy sweaters, and Christmas music and Brady's first birthday! It really is the most wonderful time of the year :)

Second Trimester

This second pregnancy has really flown by. It probably has a lot to do with taking care of my 13 month old. I literally feel like we just found out yesterday. Just a quick little re cap since we found out #2 was a boy!
The anatomy ultrasound came back normal and everything seems to be growing right on track. That's the most important thing to me throughout being pregnant. Also, it's fun to compare this pregnancy with Maci's. Brady has been measuring ahead a little over a week for a while now. Maci was always measuring right on the dot. The only symptom I had with this one is the morning sickness in the first trimester. I didn't really have that with Maci or anything actually. Everything else is pretty much the same. They both kick like crazy!  The common symptom for both pregnancies would have to be heartburn, but that's it. Its only for a little while around night time. It's crazy how fast it's all going. With that being said, Chris & I are officially starting B's room this week end. We have the decor, paint, bedding etc. We just need to actually start putting it together. We are giving ourselves a deadline... right before Thanksgiving. I want to be able to enjoy the rest of the holidays before baby brother makes his arrival, be stress free, and take in the holdays with Maci as an only child forever! After all, Brady has been measuring ahead a little over a week for quite some time now. So my scheduled due date could move up to...New Years Eve!  What a fun birthday to have. My mother in law's birthday is actually on New Years Eve as well. What an awesome birthday gift that would be for Grandma Stulak to have..her first grandson!
Talk about perfect timing on catching up on my little blog. I better go get my little rascal. Seems she has woken up from her afternoon nap.
Till next time, here are some recent bump pictures of the ever so growing Brady!

Excuse the dirty mirror in this picture.
Maci loves to look at her self  lol

Thirteen Months!

The months can't seem to slow down! They just keep going by faster and faster!
Our Maci turned 13 months old on September 13th.
She is so much fun these days and she always makes us laugh EVERY single day!

You are an expert walker now and pretty much want to be walking/running everywhere! You keep me on my toes which is why I am forever grateful when daddy walks through that door at 5pm! Six months pregnant and chasing around a toddler can drain mommy out!  When we go run errands or shopping at stores you clearly want out of the stroller or shopping cart 9 times out of 10.
Yup, I'm that mom whose kid loves to run through the racks of clothes and thinks it time to play hide and go seek with giggles so loud everyone in the store know where we are.  I secretly love it though.  My mom said I was like this as a toddler so I can see where she gets it from.
Speaking of where she gets it from. Just last week Maci decided she likes to take off her diaper off...anytime/anywhere. My mom and dad told me I totally did this at her age lol. I woke up to seeing Maci on the monitor with her tushie up in the air with no diaper. Yup, sure enough she took it off God knows when and threw it outside of her crib. Luckily she didn't wet the bed so it must have just happened before I saw it. Maybe she is ready to start potty training! How nice would it be to have my oldest under 2 potty trained before her baby brother comes this new year? Less diapers! Wishful thinking on my end, but hey a girl can dream can't she?
In other news, Maci is speaking up a storm and clearly loves the sound of her own voice. Her annunciation of words is amazing. She will literally watch our mouths as we are sounding out words to her and she will copy us. Some of her favorite words are daddy, momma, stay (mostly to dogs), nana (bannana), maaa (more),daw (dog) hi, bye, wadder(water) baybee (baby.) She will come up to my belly all on her own and touch it very carefully. Already a great big sister I tell ya.
You sleep so well. I hope your brother takes after you girl! You go to bed every night around 8:30 and sleep through the whole night. You wake up anywhere from 8:30 to 9:00 in the morning. We start our day with some MMCH and breakfast (waffles are your favorite) and typically go run some sort of errand for the day. We get out of the house once a day whether it's story time at the library, lunch dates with friends/family, play dates, shopping, grocery shopping, oil changes etc. You take your one nap a day which is generally around 2-4. Then daddy comes home and we have dinner and go for a family walk since the weather is starting to be somewhat decent. Hurry up Fall weather!
We celebrated daddy's birthday this month. You and some of
your cousins where there to help him blow out his
candles to have a fabulous 28th birthday!

Playing the piano with cousin Jack.
You could follow him and his brother Connor all day long.
You love to hang with the big kids!

We went to the Sugar Land Skeeters game with Jamie this month.
They made it to the beginning of the play offs this year. Go Skeeters!
You seriously love your Jamie!
Being silly as usual :)
You are in size 18 month clothes and some 24 months, depending on the brand. Size 5 shoes.
Size 4 diapers... size 5 at night. You love to put on your own sunglasses and take out your bows to put them back in yourself. You want to feed yourself most of the times with a spoon. All in all, I would say you are growing up to be a independent little lady.  I mean who wouldn't love a fun, loud, lovable, kissable, huggable, squishy, independent, blue eyed beauty?!
Ill eat you up I love you so!

Happy Thirteen Months Maci Maureen :)

Shopping for the littles

Nothing makes you feel better than shopping! Well for me at least. When you're a mom, nothing makes you feel better than shopping for your littles. Today I did some shopping to get my mind off a couple things and I found the cutest fall finds for my growing girl. I had to grab baby brother some stuff too :)

***FYI Children's Place place is on top of fall attire for little ones right now...so you might want to make a trip soon!

It's a BOY for baby Stulak2

The time finally came for Chris & I to find out what our sweet second blessing would be! My very good friend, Jadie had a gender reveal party all planned out and we had it done to where NO ONE knew (not even Jadie) what baby Stulak 2 would be. Chris & I went to baby's anatomy scan in the afternoon this past Friday, which I had done at 19 weeks and everything went great! Baby's organs and parts all looked to be growing properly and that was such great news to hear. When it came to finding out the gender, which was done at the end, the ultrasound tech told us to turn our heads the other way and she turned the screen the opposite way just to be extra careful.  It was done so fast  which let me to believe it was a boy haha She then wrote down the gender and stuck the gender pictures in a separate envelope. Now let me you, the ONLY reason I was patient enough was because the gender reveal party was only going to be 5 hours away LOL.
I met my friend at a local Party city right after my appointment where she made a box to be filled up with either pink or blue balloons. Party City has done this before and they were able to have the right balloons blown up and threw in the envelope in the box as well. My friend picked it up and brought it over to our house when it was time to get ready for the party. I still cant thank her enough for making such a great memory with family and friends. Thanks Jadie! WE LOVE YOU & JASON! We weren't able to do a gender reveal with Maci because we had some family out of town and I could never be able to wait a whole week for them to get back. I'm glad we were able to this time!  Ill let the pictures do most of the talking.

He wasn't shy at all!

When choosing the name we knew from the get go if it was a boy we wanted the middle name to be Christopher (just like his daddy). Maci has my middle name (which is Irish) so we did some brainstorming and came up with the perfect name that fit exactly what we were looking for. We wanted the first name to be Irish. My grandmother (my dad's mom) is from Ireland and so I am 1/2 Irish. It is something very important to me.  Lo and behold Brady Christopher it was!
Brady Christopher Stulak will be here January 5,2014 and we couldn't be happier! Even big sister is excited.  She now comes up to my belly and Chris & I point to it and say "baby." She touches my bump and says "baybeeeeeee." I know she is still so young but I feel like she is getting the idea in some sort of way. It's the cutest and I know she will be a great big sister! Brady, you are already so loved! You have no idea.
